Game Rules

French Loto Bets are placed on the result of the relevant draw of the French  “Loto” lottery, which is a lottery operated by La Francaise Des Jeux (https://www.fdj.fr/jeux/jeux-de-tirage/loto/resultats) (“FDJ”).

Loto involves a random draw of five Numbers selected from 1 to 49 and a further random draw of one Bonus Number selected from 1 to 10. The Player of a Bet picks five numbers and one number accordingly.

Draws are usually held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 20:00 Paris Time.

The cost will be displayed within the Number Picker page as you make your picks and the resulting ticket.

The deadline for placing a bet on a draw is determined for each draw and posted on the Website.

(Prizes stated are estimates if not noted as a fixed sum and are stated in Euro.)

Only one Prize Category can be won per Bet, which will be the highest of the available Prize Categories achieved by that Bet.

The Winnings payable in respect of each Winning Bet in Prize Categories 3 to 9 shall be the amount of the Pay Out announced by FDJ in respect of a Lotto winning ticket in the respective Prize Category.

The Winnings payable in respect of each Winning Bet in Prize Categories 1 and 2 will depend on (a) the number of FDJ winning tickets in that Prize Category plus the number of Network Winning Bets in the relevant Prize Category (“WINNERS”), and (b) the aggregate Pay Out by FDJ in the relevant Prize Category (“FUND”). The Winnings will then be calculated as FUND divided by WINNERS thus:

Network refers to each of the different gaming websites worldwide offering this game powered by the Lot.to brand.

If FDJ has not announced a Pay Out for Category 1 for the relevant draw, the Pay Out payable in respect of each Winning Bet in Category 1 will be calculated on the basis of the official advertised Jackpot amount for that Lotto Draw or the official reported Category 1 prize pool (if any) – the latter taking precedence.

Pay Outs in any particular Prize Category other than the jackpot are calculated on the basis of the amount of aggregate stakes published by FDJ as well as the distribution to that Prize Category or on the basis of the value published by FDJ for that Prize Category of the relevant draw of the underlying lottery.

There will be maximum payout limits for this lottery in Prize Categories 1 and 2 as follows:

  • Category 1: €20,000,000
  • Category 2:  €1,000,000

Only one jackpot may be won per player per draw regardless as to whether the same Bet was placed and accepted multiple times.

In the event of conflict between language translations English shall take precedence.

Prize Payouts

Listen carefully, I shall say this only once. The French Loto jackpot kicks off at €2.6 Million and keeps climbing till it’s won. The current record payout is €20 Million. That’s enough to buy the Fallen Madonna with the Big Boobies several times over!
