Game Rules

La Primitiva Bets are placed on the results of the official Spanish La Primitiva Lottery operated by the Loterías y Apuestas del Estado in Spain (www.loteriasyapuestas.es) (“LAE”).

La Primitiva Draw consists of six Numbers from 1 to 49 and a one Bonus Number selected from the remaining 43 balls. The player must pick six numbers accordingly. Additionally, the player is automatically assigned one Reintegro Number from 0 to 9 on their ticket (note the Reintgro does not appear on the number picker but is assigned randomly after placement of the bet and will appear in the player account record of the bet after a short time after placement - please give up to 20 minutes).

Draws are usually held on Thursdays and Saturdays 21:40 Madrid time.

The deadline for purchasing tickets for a draw is determined for each draw and posted on the website.

(Prizes stated are estimates if not noted as a fixed sum and are stated in Euro)

Only one Prize Category can be won per Bet, which will be the highest of the available Prize Categories achieved by that Bet.

The Winnings payable in respect of each Winning Bet in Prize Categories 3 to 6 shall be the amount of the Pay Out announced by LAE in respect of each La Primitiva winning ticket in the respective Prize Category.

The Winnings payable in respect of each Winning Bet in Prize Categories 7 is fixed as per the table.

The Winnings payable in respect of a Winning Bet in Prize Category 1 & 2 will depend on a) the number of LAE winning tickets in the relevant Prize Category plus the number of Network Winning Bets in the relevant Prize Category (“WINNERS”), and (b) the aggregate Pay Out by LAE in the relevant Prize Category (“FUND”). The Winnings will then be calculated as FUND divided by WINNERS thus:

             FUND

If LAE has not announced a Pay Out for Category 1 for the relevant draw, the Pay Out payable in respect of each Winning Bet in Category 1 will be calculated on the basis of the official advertised Jackpot amount for that Lotto Draw or the official reported Category 1 prize pool (if any) – the latter taking precedence.

Pay Outs in any particular Prize Category other than the jackpot are calculated on the basis of the amount of aggregate stakes published by LAE as well as the distribution to that Prize Category or on the basis of the value published by LAE for that Prize Category of the relevant draw of the underlying lottery.

Taxes

Winnings in certain Prize Categories are paid free of withholding tax, others are subject to withholding tax at the then current rate. This is dependent on the amount of the Winnings and the threshold over which withholding tax is retained is set from time to time by the Spanish Government (currently 25% for all winnings over €2500).

In the event of conflict between language translations English shall take precedence.
